This works sometimes - other time just get a black screen - which appears to be happening more and more - looks like a loose connection of some kind - anybody else experienced this or got any idea where to start looking?

i have same problem with reversing camera on my truck,which is due to a hairline crack in rear camera and lets in a tiny amount of water on wet days (MOST DAYS IN IRELAND)and eventually blew camera and now i have a black screen all the time:doh:
 
Same problem on my 05 vogue. The reverse camera only works 10% of the time. Most times i just get a black screen. When it does work, sometimes it fades away back to the black screen.

I've searched for answers and help before and always found the solution. Thanks to you all.
(My previous '95 P38 had lots of little jobs to do now and then)

For this problem i can't find anything.

Any suggestions to help fix this problem would be most welcome.

camera at a guess, is it worse in cold weather?
 
I'm not sure about the temp effecting it, i've only had the car 2 weeks.

Despite the dodgy camera, i'm still mega chuffed with it, i keep looking out of the window just to have another look :D
