I have a 2004 Range Rover L322 TD6. The rear wiper motor failed a few months ago, so I took it apart to see if it could be fixed. Unfortunately it was quite badly corroded due to water ingress from the washer system. Could not find a new unit anywhere. Had a look on ebay to try and find a replacement only to see sellers trying to get between £300.00 and £400.00 for a second hand part (which might still be leaking internally). As many of you may know the early L322 electrics are based on the BMW E39 5 Series, this led me to think that some of the electrical components are probably similar to other BMW models of this period. Sure enough after some research, I found that the rear wiper motor dimensions and connector are the same as the E46 3 Series Compact, which is much easier to obtain. The mounting bracket / gear cover however is different but this can easily be swapped over. Before refitting the original cover, I replaced the o-ring that sits inside the plastic water inlet where the wiper spindle locates . After refitting to the vehicle and trying it out I found the wiper parked to the right instead of correctly parking to the left, otherwise it worked fine. There is a magnet in the internal plastic gear which can be moved 180 deg to the opposite slot to correct this problem, I will do this at a later date. Hope this may help some of you with the same problem.
