Hi Peeps! My 02 L322 has started doing weird stuff with it's lights.... headlights and rear lights staying on after ignition being switched off, have disconnected battery to save it running flat. No indicators. If I reconnect battery the car is fine until I switch it off and then a few minutes later all the lights come on? Fault code points towards the LCM in footwell. I have taken it out and checked for corrosion etc.. and it seems fine? Do these fail due to dry joint? Can I use a BMW LCM as there seem to be more available secondhand and lower price than LR, I am assuming that these don't need coding?

Don't know if the BMW ones are compatible but it also stores a backup for your mileage and if you change it for one with higher mileage it will change to the higher mileage after a certain time (no idea what the time is. If you're lucky you can change the mileage with the BMW scanner 1.4.

Thanks for heads up on mileage, not sure why manufacturers have to make life so complicated?

If you get a used one make sure you get the same year (MY02) as the lights may be different on later models like LEDs, HID's etc
