Last year my misses had an incident with a hire van (not her fault). The resulting bodyshop touch up was covered by the other party as was the hire vehicle, a new RR Sport (here is where I made my fatal error). I should have never let her anywhere near it. She discovered the heated steering wheel option which my 2003 L322 does not have.

Now she is insistent she wants one and won't let me hear the end of it.

Essentially I can get a steering wheel from another L322 which was fitted with heated steering. Can anyone help me by informing me if this is a simple swap. i.e. does the wiring loom already exist and is this a simple connection to the wiring loom or will it require more involved wiring and running of a live feed etc

Many Thanks for helping

Matt

Why would you need a heated steering wheel for christ sakes, toughen up a bit. Wear driving gloves if you are that soft.

The loom connection might be there, but you will need to programe either the HeVAC unit or the BCU that it is fitted.

nice 'excuse' using the wife as the reason for wanting a heated wheel.........
get some gloves you jessie :p

in 3 years of ownership i think i've used the heated wheel 3 or 4 times, gloves would be a lot cheaper than trying to retro fit.
