I bought a 2002 Vogue six weeks ago 114k which is still under the dealers warranty. The suspension works fine on all settings when driving but the left hand side of the car was dropping when the car was left overnight. The wheels were 3 - 4 cm lower than the RHS.

I took the car back to the dealers nominated repairer and they found a small air leak on the rear n/s air spring and replaced it. The car now only drops on the FNS corner when left overnight. Having looked at the diagram showing the layout of the L322 suspension, I think it must be either the FNS airspring leaking or the pipework/connections that run from the front cross link valve to the airspring. Any thoughts?

Many thanks......................Phill H

Yeah take it back again the struts on the L322 are serious money.

I recently had a problem with the front LHS of my 65 K (kilometers) 03 L322 (FNS if you prefer this terminology)
Sagging while driving and drooping some when parked, this eventually caused an Axle articulation fault to be stored and the EAS to go inactive, reset this several times, only for it to re occur later.
I replaced the front left sensor (FNS) and front cross link valve with no effect.

In the end the fix that resored normaility was to replace the Front Left (FNS) airbag / shock absorber. which as stated is not cheap. The old unit had age related cracks in it that leaked only in use or above a certain pressure. I know all to well that like Brake pads and disks that Shocks should always be replaced as pairs. But being a tight skate, i thought i would change just the affected one and see what happens.

I now know what happens, as less that a couple of months on my L322 is now doing pretty much the same on the right (FOS if you prefer that terminology) Interestingly,iIt is producing a slightly different fault code, something like "articulation valitity error"

I may well have the finest diagnostic equipment there is at my disposal, but at the end of the day, nothing is a substitute for plain common sense. If the EAS spring on one side has had it, its just common sense to fathom that so has the one on the other side. I have just got the part in and will be replacing it this week.

In essence, while i as a non warrantied owner have the luxury of changing only one and waiting for the other to fail in due course, you as a warrantied owner should have had both changed at the same time.
