Having found out the problem with my 2003 L322 petrol, I need a replacement engine or engine rebuild. Piston Rings/Liners Slipping???
In my previous post I explained the problem and now it's diagnosed I need help finding a REPUTABLE! company that deals in rebuilds or recon engines.
Last week I spoke to a lot of companies all offering many different services ie recon/rebuild? Im confused to say the least! Some say it's better to rebuild, some say it's better for replacement engine (second hand). What do you think is the best route?
It's a lot of money to spend out, I don't want to get ripped off. I want a proper warranty or a guaranteed low mileage engine.
There are so many cowboys out there, I don't trust half the people I speak to over the phone, perhaps I am being a bit judgmental but it's a lot of money, I want to get this right. I have quotes from £2500 up to £7000!
