Hi. :confused::confused::confused:
Just wondering if anyone else has had the electric adjust for the drivers seat randomly change so that the controls are working the opposite way round at the same time as the steering column stop working.

I also seem to have this very odd deep rumbly noise from the gearbox on hills and a very jerky shift cycle through the gears but nothing when the car first runs down the road when cold

i'm thinking that an oil change for the gearbox might fix this?

Nick.

Think the BCU controls the seat motors ??

Sounds like a common td6 dead gearbox

Possible, I do know the memory seats are controlled by a seat memory ECU...this is mentioned in the RAVE electrical library...

Also yes - if its a TD6 sounds terminal to me....:eek:

Hi Folks, thank you for you're replies.

Sorry, V8, '03. I am very handy with the spanners so is the gearbox simply a recon issue.
Whats the issue with the diesel version?

Nick.

Change the transmission fluid and filter. It made the world of difference to my 04 v8 l322
Can't recommend a fluid and filter change high enough.

Different gearbox to the Td6 with a different set of problems.
