If you wanted replace them both you can fit the 06 onwards to a pre 06 they are the same connections

The mechanic i used for my coolant leak repair has a 2003 L322 Range Rover with the newer shape mirrors fitted, I was asking him about getting one of my 2003 mirrors replaced and he told me about the 06 upgrade and showed me his range rover and sure enough they are the 06 spec, it even supports the dimmable and powerfold functions, he said they are a simple change because the connections are exactly the same. They are also half the price of the older mirrors as the older style mirrors are made from one block of aluminium where as the newer style is made from ABS plastic.
