Hi folks.
I have an 06 L322 TD6 and I am having a rather unusual probelm with the brakes. The problem started with a seized caliper at the back and gave the pads and disc a good roasting. Sorted that out and it started setting of the abs just as it came to a stop under light braking. Fitted a new ab sensor to the hub hat had been roasted but did not curethe problem. Left it in to my friendly echanic who specialises in Landrover and he traced it to the front brakes and found the discs and pads to be almost destroyed through wear and tear.
New discs and pads fitted but still the same problem. He traced it to the front passenger side brakes. Fitted a new sensor but no improvement. If the sensor is disconnected it does not do it but the abs lights areon and the DCS does not work. Connect the sensor up and the last 6 feet before stopping the abs kicks in. I am at the end of my level of diagnostic ability and my Landrover mechanic is also stumped. Has any one got any ideas about what it might be?
