Have 2007 S/C L322. the key does not send out a frequency to the vehicle. Guess i need a new key. LR dealer won't supply me with a new key as the vehicle is not registered in my name, I am in the trade. Despite having proof of purchase for the vehicle, ID and anything else they wish to ask for! How frustrating. Anyone know what I can do to resolve this?

I would try another dealer. You must have the motor trader part of the v5? And that along with the purchase proof should be enough.
The v5 is not proof of ownership anyway.
I have a lease car that isn't in my name so how would I get a key for that.

My car is leased and anything I need I have to get from the lease company.
@beanmasteruk If you have the proof you purchased it then surely it would be in your name ?
What signal are you referring to, the key fob to open the doors and disable alarm or the transponder to allow the key to turn in the ignition ?

It turns and starts, just doesn't open the doors

Then you need to resync the key.
