Hi all,

Am hoping someone has the knowledge on this one. I have a power drain which seems to disappear when I pull fuse 41 (I think). This is labelled as part of the stereo and is 5amp.

This fuse seems to supply the CD changer. However, I cant feel it getting overtly hot when not running. Does anyone know of the same circuit supplies anything else. I wondered about the VentureCam charger maybe.

Any help much appreciated. Just want to check before I pull out the CD changer.

Many Thanks

Matt

If that fuse supplys the entertainment system which is located in the left rear of the boot have a look for water ingress, it is a common fault and the connectors get all green with corrosion.
JLR do a fix- mod that they will charge you for and all it is is a bit of plastic that goes behind.

Sorry my bad - it is fuse 40. Supposedly CD changer. When I pull that fuse - no more power drain - so was presuming something on that circuit is shorting. CD changer doesnt seem to be getting hot when not used. Wondered if anything else on that fuse?

If not the CD changer then am a bit confused. All I could think was that the sound system gets woken up another problem elsewhere which is eliminated by pulling the fuse for the CD changer - maybe because it takes out the optic fibre MOST loop?
