Hi all, after a bit of advise if possible, had an issue on my RRS 3.6TDV8 about a year ago where the top hose popped off, Land Rover specialist replaced top hose set as it had swallowed due to oil leak? Turns changed a few months before I got so made sense,

Anyway driving a bit earlier parked up and noted steam coming from under the bonnet, checked and found the hose had popped off again

AA attended and refitted (didn’t have any tools on me!) he ‘pressure tested’ the system ok, however i now have a bad leak coming from underneath toward the back of the car…I know the 3.0 TDV6 as the coolant line between the ‘V’ that leaks, does anyone know if the V8’s do?

It’s going into a specialist if I can’t find the leak anyway just trying to decide whether it’s worth looking at myself, looked online for a coolant diagram as I know the gearbox cooler is towards the rear,

cheers

Sorry for the late update, took me a few weeks to strip down, diagnose and then order the parts before finally getting it back together last weekend,

so having removed the intake plenum, both EGR’s and countless coolant lines I found the base of the thermostat housing leaking, I suspect it was cracked however it snapped off in the block when removing it, took a bit of wiggling to get it out, replaced that and the water pump and she seems to be fine now… we’ll until one of the airlines blew but that’s a different story!….
