girl friends mam got one on a R reg. it has developed a massive oil leak over night i have tried to look where it is coming from but the under tray is in the way. (going over in the morning to take it off ) just wanting to no if any one no's any common places they leak from. I no the 1.8 litre I4 Rover K-Series petrol engine has a problem with the crank seal leaking but this runs a 2.0 litre I4 Rover L-series diesel lump.

hi, is the oil coming from the front or the back of the engine ?

Have you got any more info? Have you got the tray off yet?

it was a fuel leak that was washing the oil off the bottom tray off old oil leak. it was a low presser fuel pipe off the injector feeds that was leaking

it is a common fault for l-series to leak oil from around the oil filter, landrovers fix was to turn it abit tighter
