My Freelander has suddenly developed a knocking noise from the left hand side of the dashboard. It sounded as though something was rattling in the glove compartment but I have emptied this and it is still there. Started a few days ago and sounds like something rolling about loose in there.

Any ideas from anyone? It really is the most annoying noise ever.
