Has anybody else with a 2011 Freelander2 had this problem with their key fob?
I can lock and unlock the doors OK, but on a number of occasions I have put the fob into the receptor only to find nothing happens, steering lock doesn't disengage none of the electrics come on and the engine won't start. Sometimes the engine will start but the instrumentation doesn't work, or I will dubious messages appearing on the screen to say the doors or boot are open.

This will happen even after a long run in the car

Is a common fault. Easy fix.

Ask over in the Freelander section. Say please and thank you and they’ll help you out

Anyone help,I have a freelander 2 09 plate,on both key fobs in past I have been able to open doors on one press and press unlock button again and it opened boot to,but recently I can only open doors and won't open boot until I press boot button
