Strange one P38a '96 diesel, Key fob intermittent.....EAC no problem all working and now the key fob works as normal? Its about twice a week it does this in moods??? I have read all I can so someone please point me to the relevant thread, Mark

When the FOB doesn't work, is the LED lighting?

Yes LED always lights up

It's possible that local RF interference is blocking the FOB signal.

Sorry should have put in that after EAC access use rangy no problem, stop and then lock car with the metal key as FOB not working, this then triggers CL to start working and from then on key fob works properly as normal.

If it's anything like the Disco 2 the BCU can go to "sleep" after a certain time.
The only way to wake it up is use the key to open the door the old fashioned way.

Make sure the battery is on (on the car, not the fob) charge it 100% same happens to me when its not fully charged

That sounds like a sticky drivers door lock mechanism.
