H All,

I inherited a really mangled and broken Key 1 which the PO had replaced.

So, I had two working keys and one broken one.

I sent the dodgy one to remote fob centre in the UK (ebay) to see if it could be repaired.

For a very reasonable price I now have a working spare key 1 in a new casing.

They couldn't get the red light to work but the key remote works perfectly.

No connection with them, just passing this on.

As long as the key number is different it is fine. It has a rolling code for each key. If a key is duplicated then you constantly have to resynch where that key hasn't been incremented.

Maybe he now has 1,3 and 4?

No, I now have two times key 1 - if I sync one of them the other one doesn't work until I re sync it . ... if that makes sense.

Perfect sense. That's the expected behaviour! Always good to have a backup though, especially when they're £160 to replace!
