I need a new battery for my key. On a 53 plate discovery have been told by the assistant in halfords that when i swap the battery i may need to get the key re-coded. is this true if so is there a way around this.

Its a standard response. Some Motors need to be re-synced, Halfords staff are under instructions not to change the battery, because of re-syncing problems in the past.

Its done to cover their arses.
