Hello everyone,
Just need some advice on a little problem - I have recently fitted a kenlowe fan kit to my '87 Classic v8. However for some reason at the moment it turns the fan on when I put the ignition on. It never used to do this however its only started recently. Ive got the capillary in the radiator core and I have the adjustable temperature screw on the inner wing along with relays and wiring for a manual over-ride, so what I want to know is could the capilarry sensor be broken? i've tried adjusting the temperature sensor by turning it but to no avail - just a click and the fan starts up immediately upon ignition on. Any one got any idea what it could be?

If it worked correctly when you fitted it but it doesn't now then either the sensor has failed or a relay has failed closed. You should be able to trace it with a multimeter, or even a basic continuity tester (bulb and a bit of wire).
