Got a 87 90TD that needs a noo engine & is crying out for disc brakes on the rear axle :D

fook me - thats bad :( - or it least it makes mine look good :).

At the end of the day, Pikey, It is purely down to whether you have the time, cash and competance to do it.

Aye I'd already decided it's going to disco heaven once I've stripped the glass & the aircon dicky seats & central locking & window winder regulators etc. engine, transfer box & axles will be going on the 90, & the rest will go to the tip with the exception of the metal work, that lot will be chopped up & Scrapped. Surprisingly the rear crossmember isn't that bad at all. & if it had been a 3 door I might have considered Box section steel for the sills and a LWB transit floor panel & wheel arches for the back (all the way to the back of the front seats. Essentially making it a commercial. as the floor from the rear foot well forwards is in good condition even the front footwells are solid & innner front wings are repairable.

OMG!!!!
and I thought the rust I have was bad... compared to that mine is in mint condition!
the sills on mine are intact, with only a few small rust holes on sills top near the floorpans....

I've seen some bad un's but that's got them beat ... has it been parked in the sea by any chance:eek:

gives me the jesters toes just lookig at it.
all the best what ever you decide, your truly a brave man eh eh:)

Get it welded.

Except for what looks like one of your doors, mine was much the same.

Whats the roof like above the windscreen, your inner front wings, and the floorpan?

:hysterically_laughi

I will have to go back and look again as I didn't see any metal work.

??? Do they weigh in rust?

You could sell it to a company like waxoil or the likes to show what can happen should you not treat the car, then get a new one with the cash!

WIN WIN!

Heheheh, yebbut, you don't get much for a fiver nowadays .. ;)

kinell pikey, thought you,d bought yer old mota back wen i seen tha:D:D

Aye must admit I did have a bit o a deja vu moment when I took the carpet up. I'm still trying to figure how it held together for the 50 mile trip home bearing in mind the nearside floor, from the rear passenger door to the back door is completly detached from the rest of the car. the rear door posts & roof must have been the only things holding together, & I had 80 odd out of it as well

I had a whitevan man up my arse for part of the trip. Would have been interesting if he'd ploughed into the back of me   :D :D :D
