As title says perviously did the head gasket on my dads 1.8k freelander 3months ago which was a set off ebay but the gasket went also the head was skimm'd along with some damaged valves replaced any way along story short i have redone the gasket with a BGA gasket and shim from are local andrew pages and also got new bolts all the bolts were oil'd as it suggested in the book and was done to 20NM and 90degree 4times instead of 180degree 2times as this is what the BGA gasket suggested to do any way all the bolts were hard but still turnd apart from number 8 which i couldn't turn anymore after stage 4 which was the third time of 90degree and all was put back together and the engine seems to run pretty well and quiet how ever there seems to be stem/a fine spray of water going into the throttle body from the top pipe thats connected to it but why is this?? and i haven't checked to see if any of the cylinders are getting water into them as it is to dark now
and also all the bolt holes were checked to make sure the bolts would go in fully with no trouble to make sure it didn't give a false reading on the torque rachet
also my dad things the head may have been over skim'd what would happen if the head had been skim'd to much ???
any help or anything would be appreciated as i am loosing faith in the car now
cheers
