situation

bought 3.9 disco last week
had it ticking over on drive and the twin kenlows didnt kick in and she boiled.

now dosnt like starting but when does start still goes as well as before but
dosnt pressurise cooling system
no water in oil

so i only really want to run the motor for a couple of months then swap for a 3.5 mazda lump and theres a mob of 4x4s going to sailsbury plain on boxing day so wanted to get her going

is the k seal stuff any good?

A product called Irontite is probably a better choice

...if you want to go down that route

If you have head/liner problems, any amount of sticking plaster won't cure them, they just put off the day and eventually may result in more damage.

Do the job now, it adds value to the car and you have a bit more of a comfort zone when you are using it.

you didnt really read the OP did you:doh:

The valve/s in the expansion cap if now faulty won't let the system pressurise, it's a wonder you still have them with the system boiling over.

k seal is a bodge and will cause more issues by blocking the rads!
irontite only cures block issues and is not designed to seal leaking gaskets.
try a new rad cap but you will then find you are looseing water and burning it
as always the choice is yours good luck

I had a rad cap which kept all the pressure in, that made for some very big top hoses :p

Assuming the problem has been fixed. Or blown the engine??

Let us know how you get on with it:confused:
