Hi folks, another request for advice & guidance......
I have 2 minor issues on gear selection (possibly related).
  1. Sometimes the LED indicated gear is not in step with the mechanical detents in the gear-selector and this is usually noticed on the transitions from N-R and N-D. The gear lever has moved all it will butthe display has not altered to show the same gear.
  2. Hi-Lo and Lo-Hi transitions. Sometimes it won't start the changeover and flashes "Select Neutral" even though it is in the Neutral Detent. Fiddling it out of Neutral and back in again seems to allow the changeover to the other box.
So, is this a bust XYZ switch or just slack in the selector cable? I looked up the process for doing the cable on You-Tube and it looks like something even an idiot like me can do. Any thoughts? Am I barking up the wrong tree?

Mine did something like that, including not selecting reverse which was annoying.

I just thrashed the lever from P-1 a few times, haven't had an issue since.

The cables do get sticky and bind in the sheath so the assembly flexes rather than move the business end.
