Bought a '96 Discovery 300 TDi 6 months ago with 96000 on the clock - my first ever Land Rover. Bought for occasional towing, some very light off roading and the rest of the time on the road.
Had a few problems, but nothing too drastic - leak behind the water pump (common I believe), dodgy clutch slave cylinder and 2 seized handbrake cables due to a dodgy earth (took a bit to understand that one hence 2 cables!).
All minor problems on what is a brilliant car!
