Hi everyone,
Thanks for your opinions and wisdom to date;). I've just bought a Series 3 109 pick up with moth eaten rag back and boat anchor up front. First 100yds brought a torque smile and a tank giggle.
It might be out of a fork lift or tractor, even a combine for all I know ( I will find out), the exhaust manifold looks like it was made by Kingdom when he was an apprentice plumber, but to my way of old fashioned engineering thinking it suits this beast to a T.
You can bow to the shrine of revolution all you like but it's the pull on the clutch when the two ton trailer behind moves in unison with your left foot that tickles my fancy.
The 4203 is agricultural but so is the Series 3, so were Alvis and Lagonda
Nice to meet you all
Dave

:)Thanks Grunt, detailed pics will be on their way shortly. Been looking at all sorts of **** takes for a while now but my good lady saw this on the web over the weekend and as it was just round the corner I bought it today. Garage are fitting a new rag for me and a heater matrix that won't fill the cab with sauna juice. Will pick her up on Wednesday.
Can get a rough idea on E.H.DOUGLAS - 4 WHEEL DRIVE CENTRE used cars, it's the blue shed at the bottom. Not a bad price though considering it appears to have been pro rebuilt approx 5 years ago with Galv chassis and o/drive fitted etc..
Thanks for your interest
Dave..
