Good quality stainless Jubilee clips all the way, not those horrible spring clips, evil bastards they are..
@1988smithy you need a proper cv boot clip for that, a wide cable tie will do for temporary measure.
Whilst the spring type are a PITA to use esp access sometimes, they are supposed to provide a better seal than jubilee clips as they keep a constant tension
This type is the best for CV boots..I'll see if I can pick one up before it goes back in the car then. If I can't get one readily I'll have to use a quality jubilee and monitor it. Cheers

Clamp that square with a set of snips to fit mate?
Put it round the boot, with a pair of pliers give it a squeee together, job done
They keep constant tensionand are easy to replace if necessary.
how can they be circular when they have a band at 90 degrees to the main band. it creates a high pressure point on the pipe
never seen a hose blow/leak becuase of a jubilee clip,
Never seen some muppet use a too large jubilee clip on a small hose then?
Cheers

Yup. Mikalor are the doggies-danglers in this field. As well as their familiar clamps, Mikalor also make "jubilee" clips. Far better than a standard clip IMHO and can be tightened to about 7NM without the screw thread slipping. I could not get a jubilee clip tight enough to keep a silicone intake hose clamped to the thin, recessed pipe on the turbo intake and it was too narrow for a Mikalor clamp. A Mikalor ASFA "jubilee" clip has been perfect. They even make them in titanium or in constant tension varieties.
