Hi Folks
Recently joined Landy Zone so shall try to navigate around the site over time. I have a Freelander 2 which I really enjoy. Recently had the “Oil service required visit dealer” message. I’ve seen on here a post about opening the bonnet and drivers door, starting it up and flooring the accelerator and putting a foot on the brake for a minute. Do you need to hold the accelerator to the boards for a minute as well as the brake?
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Hi there and welcome!
Holding your foot on the accelerator for a minute with the engine running doesn't sound healthy to me

I agree Kermit_rr. I have read the post again and realised that I have made a wrong assumption. If you put the key in then just press the start button the engine will not start, the ignition does come on though. My mistake, should have engaged brain.
Cheers

It's reset with the electrics on, engine off.
