I just purchased a 1992 GMC Jimmy, and it has only one major flaw: both
front doors are jammed shut, and both doors handles are broken on the
inside (the outside driver's handle is also gone). I had to climb through
the back seat to drive it home. If anyone has any advice how I can get
these doors open without too much damage, please email me. I've ordered
new outside and inside handles to replace the broken ones.
Thanks!

Bet taht was fun! <g>

Can you get the door panel off? IF so you should be able to get at the
guts of the lock and pull the lock lever with a pair of pliers. If
not, I'd recommend about 6 oz of C4, but stand well back when using
it! <bg>

Seriously, unless you *want* to use C4, some vehicles you can reach
through the fender to the hinge bolts which *may* allow you to take
the door off. But this is not recommended as the lock end is designed
to hold on even when the front end is loose (accident protection).

You really need to get inside the door--sacrifice the door panels and
go in that way. Then get new panels from an aftermarket supplier if
the truck is nice, or just leave them off if it is a junker.
