Can anyone offer advice as to what's up with my transmission LT77 gearbox LT230t transfer box.

I was larking around at an offroad site when, after going up a steep longish hill (3rd gear low box some wheel spin) I couldn't get it out of gear. After a drive round on the carpark I managed to be able to get it in and out of 3rd but no other gears. High/low diff lock OK. Tried towing forwards and backwards and jacking wheels off the floor to remove any "wind up" in diffs with no joy. It is now stuck in 3rd again and the gear lever is solid. If the engine is started and the clutch let out it just stalls. Up till then there wasn't any trouble with the gears, no new noises and no indication as to any impending doom. The vehicle can be pushed if the transfer box is in nuetral.

Hi Grunt Sounds like a broken or worn selector fork Worth checking out before complete removal of gearbox. And costs a lot less too.

I didn't know if it could still be diff or gearbox windup if there is such a thing.
I'll take the selector gubbins off today and have a look at the selector forks.

I wouldn't mind so much but I only had the gearbox off a month ago to do the clutch and outputshaft bearings and everything seemed OK.
