Following on from my other thread.

After the last aborted attempt to collect My 110 Hi-cap project, I borrowed my bosses 110 Puma and a 16' tri-axel Ifor-Williams flat bed trailer.

Had to drag the Hi-cap out of the hedge it has been living in for the last year and a bit in West Sussex.
Took the battery from the Disco with me, but couldn't get it to fire. So, had to winch it on to the trailer.

Anyway, 3 hours later, and we're home...:D

Tried to get it started to unload, and it fired up and ran well!!

Quick inspection, and she needs; seats and seat-belts, front side lights and indicators.
The tyres are shagged, but I'll put the ones off the Disco on it.
There's an oil-leak from the rocker-cover gasket, probably from sitting for so long.

Phil, my mechanic and MOT tester mate came over for a poke about and a beer.
His opinion is that the chassis needs no welding and never had any (!) and the bulkhead is in really good nick.

So, a couple of hundred quid, and a small amount of time and she'll be MOT'able

I'll start a thread in the Defender section, keep your eyes peeled!!

Nice one ..

Good to see people pulling 'em out of hedges and getting them running again! Better than parting them out, IMHO .. :)
