So the self healing P38 strikes again. Can anyone explain this?
2.5 DHSE 2002 AUTO
1. Disconnected battery to fix stereo.
2. Reconnected battery all fine but remote on key fob became disassociated with the car and didn't work.
3. Quick trip to Mark Smith Land Rover for a re sync tutorial.
4. Lock in the drives door broken could not re sync. New lock ordered.
5. A week later car decides to lock itself over night with the flashers on constantly.
6. RAC 'break' into car.
7. Now leave window open a touch till new lock gets to garage.
8. Quick trip out today and low and behold the fob works again.
What is going on? it has a mind of its own this thing. Herbie?

It's you, you must have healing hands.:)

When I first got mine I discovered the previous owner had been inside the door butnot tied up the lock wiring properly. One of the wires was catching the window as it went up and down and had broken the wire inside. In my case it was the earth and caused all sorts of oddities. Or the micrmicroswitch might be on its way out.

Taking the door card off is easy but be very gentle with the trim mushroom thingies.
