Evening All,

Been noticing a squeely chicken sound coming from the Landy recently...

Driving around high or low speed and I lift off the throttle it squeels and whines like someone is stranging a chicken. If I dip the clutch the noise instantly stops.

Its a 99 TD5 and have changed both Master and Slave last week as I lost all the fluid. Was hoping this would cure the noise as well but its still there.

Its there high and low range as well, but nothing in neutral so I am thinking clutch/release bearing areas.

Any ideas or things to double check - couldn't find much with Chicken sound in the search! :D

Thanks
Chris

Thanks MHM :)- I did fear the "expensive" word! :(

Shall put it on the list of things to sort when my numbers come up on a Saturday evening!

Read a lot about the original items not being up to the temp ratings required not sure if they slowley cook over time

Will do the clutch at somepoint so it will wait - until then just have to turn the stereo up a bit more, I have managed to drown out (ignore!) most of the other noises that way! :D
