Morning all,
Worn door latch time..
Getting the warning for the door latch not errr... Latched.
So I found this and if recall correctly and I'm open to correction..

For the mgtf, is this true and has anyone else fitted this to theirs.
If I can save a few bucks on the vat plus the vat plus the admin plus the import charge... Of around another 100€ on top of a P38 spec.. Not that I can avoid the charges but....:)
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-FQJ000010PMA is this an earlier model?
I have my scrapper car but it's lhd and I don't know if it can be modified or not but in reality I'd like a new replacement.
Added for those who can not yet read my mind!!

LHD & RHD latch mechanisms are not interchangeable but the micro switches can be swapped from one to the other. No need for a complete new mechanism. A LZ member also does overhauls.
The first latch in your post looks identical to the P38 but can't be sure from a photo.

@Mark Piercy I assume yours is LHD. I have used MG latches on my RHD P38, but you need to be careful. Many of the left MG latches don't have 3 microswitches and will not work. As Keith says it's easier to just replace the microswitches in your existing latch.

Search for "DC1C-A1AA ", but check the dimensions.

Believe its @martyuk. I once let him have an old one I had so he could refurb it for someone. They are on his website

A-ha, so.. Mine is a later 99 rhd and my scrapper is 96 lhd, what's the odds I can take the switches from the lhd early passenger door and fit them to my rhd later passenger door? o_O

The issue with posting from France is the speed of postage and extra bloody charges that come with it... Stupidity isn't even close... Different thread. Also she's in use everyday. o_O
He will send you one as long as you send him your old one when you've swapped them. Maybe worth looking into postage options with the price he charges for refurb unit against a brand new one

Thanks rubberducknees, I'll drop him a pm and see if he's disponible. ;)

Maybe, but some passenger latches don't have all three microswitches. Not sure if Marty can ship at the moment. If not best way is to google the microswitch code above to see if there's a supplier in France.

If the passenger door is the problem, then you can do that but it's usually the drivers door micro switches that play up.
Have you checked the switch functions with Nanocom?
Drivers door to drivers door or passenger door to passenger door micro switch swaps are OK
