Hi all,

So I'm in the middle of transplanting a 3.1 Isuzu into my auto RRC. Got the engine all ready today and was just about to lift it in when...

We realised the Isuzu oil filter fouls on the starter location of the V8 bellhousing!

There must be a solution as my adaptor plate is a used one from a 3.1 and that would foul too. :confused:

So, before I go to all the effort of machining a filter relocation setup (as M26 ones are impossible to find!!), does anyone know if there's an easier way around this problem?

what other vehicles use the 3.1 suzy engine?
do they have a different oil filter location/adapter.

wild card question,
can you turn the adapter plate round 180 degrees? putting the starter on the other side?
 
Any updates on this, as I'm considering a 4JG2T Isuzu into my 110 V8 CSW using an M&D conversion adapter?
