I am having absolute nightmares with my latest Land Rover!! It's a 2004 54 plate Vogue Td6. It all comes down to water damage to 2 ECU' in the rear

1st one is Radio tuner BM 54 L322, XQC50010, and the sat nav and entertainment ECU code YIL 000023.

I tried sending the units to BBA reman to get refurbished but they cannot help and I have had no luck finding ones using ebay and breakers yards!

Is there other part numbers that will plug in and get the Radio, Sat Nav etc working or would it be easier to swap over for another complete unit from a similar aged vogue? i really don't want to go down the aftermarket route if possible tbh so any helpful advice would be appreciated.

It's a common problem, you need to sort the water leaks first as otherwise they will just fail again.
Saint.V8 and others know more than me although I've fixed a couple, corrosion in the connectors is just as likely to be the problem as the units themselves. Often the pins corrode off completely in the connectors
Some of the BMW stuff is the same I believe.

BBA Reman said they couldn't get any readings from the unit because the water had damaged internals.

I think there are places that rebuild them, I'm fairly sure there was a post a while back about a place in Romania or some other Eastern European country that did them, I also think there is a place in Holland. Try doing a search.

Do you know if it has to be the exact numbers for the units to work? It is getting really boring driving around singing to myself!! haha

Try these guys for the BM54 unit.... BMW BM54 radio module repairs | BMW audio module, radio, amplifier,CD Changers repaired

The Sat Nav can be replaced with a Mk4 unit.... or the above company (which is part of Carphonics.co.uk can also look at the Nav computer too)

Have you tried removing Fuse 49 for 30 minutes to force a hard reset?

no mate I haven't but like i said earlier BBA Reman said the water damage stopped them from being able to test the unit. hopefully if that company can fix it that will be the best way to go!!

Start with looking at the amp, most people overlook the amp (because it is the most expensive part to replace) I have just checked and there are no other part numbers you can use as the numbers you have stated are the latest available from Land Rover for your model.
