Hi,
I replaced both of my master and slave clutch cylinders and also new set of repair kits.
When I pressed the clutch pedal down, I have no problem changing gear. However, in less than 2 seconds, the pressure is lost and I can't disengage the gear.

Anyone has any suggestion on what I should do? Is there a shelf life for the repair kit? The following are the parts I installed on my Disco 1.

Master Cylinder Repair Kit - STC1126 - Genuine
Slave Cylinder Repair Kit - 514244
AEU1714P1 Clutch Master Cylinder - AEU1714P1 - OEM
FTC2498P1 Clutch Slave Cylinder - FTC2498P1 - OEM

My mechanic friend told me that it is possible that the repair kits are not 100% compatible with the cylinders. Any comment from anyone?

Did you hone the bores prior to fitting the repair kits?

I just fit new units for the time and effort it takes for not a lot of money saved.

Thank you. Yes, I did hone the bore.

It seems that I bought a wrong slave cylinder. Clutch Slave Cylinder - FTC2498P1 is meant for Disco with chassis KA045959 to LA081991 and my machine SALLJGMF7HA479801!
