Hi All,

Just got round to changing rear prop shaft on my 2008 110 2.4tdci Puma and worried I’ve been sent wrongly labelled part from Britpart? There a little slow in coming back to me so I thought I’d ask the Landyzone community to confirm its correct or advise on what prop shaft they’ve sent me!

Should be an LR010463, but All the parts websites I’ve had a look at the image seems to be of a more tapered ended prop shaft with telescopic/moving bit right at the front end?

Images of new prop shaft fitted and old one removed for reference.


Don’t want them fobbing me off with, “yes it’s the right one!” and then knackering gearbox, diff, etc.

Your help is much appreciated as always.

as long as its the right length theres no issue, ie that the sliding part isnt at either extreme when fitted

Thanks for response. It fits, just shiny metal bit showing, where previous one was fully closed when parked??

been fully closed isnt good it should be roughly half in half out when stood unloaded so as to give you movement either way

Update from Britpart:-

Confirmed it’s correct part, just a different design to GKN part. Now that’s a relief, no need to take off and replace.
