hopefully my landy will be on the road in the next couple of weeks first Saturday it is I’m looking to get out all day hopefully.

been researching for lanes round the north east and found quite a few some quite short going off Google maps most seem to be partially tarmac.

Iv planned a nice route covering most of them and covering what i think is allot of miles. Iv planned and roughly looked at about 120miles.

is that over doing it for the first time out obviously I’m not sure of the terrain properly so that might/will slow me down but there is allot of real road work. so my question is.

how many miles on a normal green laneing day out do you lot cover??

thanks

Impossible to answer really. Sometimes we might drive 50+ miles to get to the first lane, then if we get stuck, only do that one all day. Normal day out I suppose we do 100 miles+.

I usually estimate 70 miles a day with our lot.

But then we can drive 25 miles before we see the first lane.... and at 40p per mile it can be bleedin expensive I'll tell yer!

Also... when you are out with spyderman you have to build in the cost of overnight accommodation and food for everyone in the car... as well as £50 for the farmer who will come get you with a tractor if needs be... £20 for new wheel bearings 'cos the ones you fitted last week just got shagged; £10 for enough WD40 to see of an ocean; £10 phone credit to keep the wife informed of your progress as the night draws in...

the list is endless ;)

bit different down here, first lane is 50mtr away then we can spend all day on the tracks and cover over 150km of them in a day and not travel more than 30km away from home!!
