Since totaling my BMW this morning, I need another vehicle.
My first thought was to get my '95 Disco 300TDi on the road as it just needs a new fuel pump, but when I thought about it, I remembered its MOT ran out last week, it is SORNed, and it could do with new glow plugs, so I decided to leave it and just get it on the road nearer winter because of the money that would need to be spent to drive it now.
Besides, a big 4X4 Discovery isn't something that is really worth the fuel costs in this weather.
So, I called my mate who owns a little used car dealership, and asked him what he had in for me.
And this is the only thing he had that I would think about buying:
2000 Land Rover Freelander 5DR
1.8 Rover K-Series I4
5 Speed Manual
Converted to 2WD for better MPG
Bodywork in great condition with only 1 light scratch on the whole car
£1,750
Major repairs done on the car in the last year:
Head Gasket Changed with MLS Gasket
New tyres fitted
New windscreen fitted
New brake pads and disks
New ABS sensors
And it has had an oil change before being put up for sale.
I think that is a good price for the car, but you Freelander owners will know better than me.
