iv got an 83 2.25 diesel and its just eats fuel think i roughly worked out i was gettin 20mpg while sat on a motor way and far less round town you cant go out with out the needle movin last time i went out it was a 46 mile trip played on the track for a couple of hours and used half a tank my mates got a 200 tdi in his and only used a quarter drivin there playin and towning mr back it used two needle space`s just from leavin the engine running while i was been towed back for an hour and a half now am i just expecting to much or does this sound about right thanks.

sounds fine to me, if you havent done so get some 750s on it (poor man over drive) - and make they are correctly inflated

anyway diesel is so cheap these days ..........

yea got a set on good old sats. i wasnt expectin it to be as green as the grass but i just thought that was shockin.

now tell every one what speed were you doing comfy running speed is about 45 over that the mpg increases

I kitted mine out with 7.5's and a fairy overdrive, was able to get 26mpg on good runs doin around 45-55mph. Less on local driving, and much less when off roading.

Economy will always be pants off road cos the engines runnin for hours and you don't go very far. best to test it on a decent road run.

25 or so.If ya want proper economy with power get a V8 and be done.My old 2 1/4 diesel was shockin. My range is returning about 35mpg equivalent cost to diesel and because no one wants one they are way cheap....

mine has its best geul consumption when off road!? i fill it up to the maximum limit and its uses about a quarter of a tank over the whole day!

so that V8 is cheaper to run? thought those were gas guzzlers? LPG would do it, that is sooo cheap.
Do they fit properly on an S3 transmission?
