this is probably a very stupid question and for that i appologise in advance... I have just brought my first Diesel Discovery ever, the previous four Discoveries were all V8's (what with petrol prices etc, Diesel it was)...

Anyway, TDi .....Turbo Diesel Intercooler ? Maybe ?

I need to give it the once over , oil, filters, whatever....and just realised that I have no idea about diesels.... If it helps it is a 96 Discovery XS TDi.

Whats this about flushing intercoolers and stuff....is that differcult ?

Any help would be good help.

300 = 2.5 tdi Turbo Diesel Injection

Servicing is relatively easy; get a haynes manual

Here's a can of worms for you. Are you sure it means Turbo Diesel Injection? In most cars it means Turbo Direct Injection.

Now me, I had my money on Turbo Diesel intercooled. What with there being the old non-chargecooled oilburners simply being TDs.

"Turbo Direct Injection" or should it be Turbocharged Direct Injection.

Or maybe just; The Debitcard Injection. :violin:
