Looking at the possibility of retrofitting late defender seats into my 110 300TDi defender. I like the look of the Recaro's and was wondering if it is a straight forward swap or does some fabrication work need to be done to support the change. Wanting to possibly change both front and second row seats. I've seen some on Ebay from a 110 TDCI PUMA. Is it possible?

I changed my seats for after market bucket seats, I used the original seat frames but had to cut & shorten re-weld
the bar to enable the seats to slide back an forth not sure about the Recaro's cant be that much of a drama.
Do the Recaro's come with the frames incase you need use them if they don't line up just redrill the seat box
& use metal flat bar & fit rivnuts into them for better support ;)

I cannot comment on the recaro's but I had some puma front seats fitted to my '89 110 for a while until I found some more original ones. The bolt pattern was the same as with all the other land rover seat I have had and did not require any additional bracketry

You should be able to bolt any Defender seats into any Defender, not sure about Ninetys or One Tens though.

If you want Recaros, Corbeaus etc... You need a subframe, most people supply them. I like the Corbeau ones as they retain the original Land Rover seat runners giving a more OEM finish and fit. That or you'll have to make your own.
