I was about to change the oil in my IRD, but a realisation that I didn’t have replacement copper sump plug seal(s) stopped me.

IRD fill and drain plugs look accessible. Might use the windy gun on the fill plug and hopefully make this nice and simple job (the plug looks untouched):

What size sump washer do I need to order?

Also, I have 1 litre of 75W90. Is that enough? I read that I really need 1.1 litres?

I use Dowty washers for all sump plugs, as they seal tight without needing high locking torque. I'm pretty sure the IRD plug is 18mm, or 20mm, or maybe it's 22mm:confused:, I don't think I measured it, I just choose a Dowty washer out my assortment box that fits.

Buy a new fill bolt and make sure to take out the fill bolt first cause they're made of cheese as you'll find out when you go to remove it. I had one that I never got out even though I tried just about everything.
