Hello everyone.
First time being a part of a forum so bare with me if I post things incorrectly!
I own a landrover discovery 2 on a 2003 registration.
Only had it a few months with plenty of plans and work to do.
Please see bellow things I have done so far and if anyone sees anything they want to know about please ask :)

Hi/low ratio cable snapped on first week and left me underneath manually selecting a ratio to get home, ordered a new cable and fit this easy enough.

Hydraulic clutch pipe burst so made a new one with a different routing in a pub car park I managed to crawl it too with no clutch pedal.

Air suspension compressor was broken due to scored cylinder bores but didn't know this untill a height sensor link broke and let air out the bag and wouldn't inflate! Second hand compressor and a over hall piston kit sorted that out but the ride home on bumpstops was interesting.

Air con fan doesn't work as it is seized so currently trying to source a universal one to replace it as a genuine s to expensive for my liking so any help on that is appreciated.

Rear parking sensors didn't work so replaced one sensor and fuse that was blown, they now work but very tempamental so need to look into that.

Found a blocked drain for the front sunroof and sorted that so if anyone wants to know ask but I'm sure it's been covered before.

Fitting cruise controll which was a very simple procedure that I can explain if anyone wants.

Fitted a new recovered steering wheel.

Started to paint the chassis.

Major service

Brake fluid change

The list goes on.

Problems to sort :-

Water appeared to be leaking through the air intake on the heater box and soaking my carpets, have loosened and sealed the edges but it's actually seems to be coming through the intake hole, there is a tsb numbered 76/37/94/en saying about a modified part but not yet found this so any help would be brilliant?

Weld a small hole by the front tie down on the chassis

Weld the front passenger inner wheel arch

Look at why the heated seats nearly set on fire! That was scary.

This list also goes on!

I'm hoping I can help some people with the problems I have had and also get some help with problems in return.

Sorry for such a long introduction!

Good evening and welcome to the Land of the Loonyzone Drummer Steve from Halifax. Good to have you on board:D And, feel free to make as many mistakes as you like. It'll take the pressure of me:p

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the loonyzone.

Sounds like you have had fun.
If you do a search for air con fan you will find this has been discussed, you can get a replacement fan motor from the States.

Hope you have your EKA code.

I assume you have the RAVE Manual.

Cheers

Not forgetting the time I lost all coolant due to the blanking pipe on the oil cooler. I have had 6 other cars and never one break down. Somehow I'm still not annoyed at the landrover.

I have had a look through my pack and I don't seem to have the EKA code. When would I need this, is it a emergency procedure for is immobiliser faults?

I do not have RAVE no. I believe it is a electronic workshop manual? Is it something I can download?

More horror stories? Go on enlighten me.

Hi Steve,

Have a read of this, plus your manual describes the procedure.

Oil pump bolt, if you do a search on ere over the last 6 months you will find it mentioned a few times , one person had a failure on a late D2 TD5, which resulted in a dead engine.
You can also read about that here.
