Hi my name is Dave. I live in Warrington and I have a Discovery 2 Tdi 5 2002. I’ve wanted a Disco 2 for a long time. Ever since I had a Range Rover 3.5 petrol years ago. My grandkids love it especially the extra seats in the back.

looks nice, good to see there still demanding a 5k price , gives me faith for value in mine , lol

Let’s hope they go up in price!!!!!!!

that would be nice , lol

i searched for ages and simply couldn’t find one without the rust in the back chassis otherwise i would have bought a D2 , but then this D3 project landy came up and thought why not, in for a penny and nothing like a challenge ;):D

No rot at all on the chassis. New steps will be needed soon, and the hydraulic step at the rear needs a bit of welding, that’s about it. That’s why it cost 5k.

Would be rare indeed, trust you gave it a good poke and tapping with a big screwdriver / hammer.

Make sure to get the Rave workshop manual downloaded.
Double check the EKA works.
Find / Make a friend who has good working diagnostics for a D2.

Check all the dash lights work as they should as well, not unknown for dodgy sellers to cover warning lights.

Cheers

they do seem quite rare these days , did at one time contemplate getting one with a rusted out chassis cheap and re chassis it, but just didn’t the facilities to do a chassis swap

there around 3k aren’t they one for a new chassis

dash lights , who would have thought , surely not ;), but indeed a very good point
