hi everyone. Not a new member. Joined some years ago with a beaten up freelander 1 with a rover L series engine. Use to bloody leak everywhere lol.

Sold the freelander 1 a few years back and been waiting to get another 4x4. After trekking around the country and getting stressed out speaking to more dodgey dealers than I ever thought possible we just bought a freelander 2 td4 HSE auto. Drives really well and has full Land Rover dealer history. All mots passed previously. Can't wait to have a spin and test out the terrain system.

Also it's supposed to be snowing this winter so fingers crossed.

Would be interested to know if there's any basic off roading spots around North Wales.

Welcome to the forum bud, there are more green lanes in Wales than you can shake a stick at. Quite a few that aren't suitable for a hippo though and quite a few that I wouldn't recommend doing alone unless you've done them before or have experience of green laning and th e capabilities of you and your vehicle.
