Sometimes my TDI 300 Disko refuses to turn over when the key is operated. There is a faint click presumably from a relay under the dash or side panel. I cannot hear any click from the starter solenoid but there may be one.
The immobiliser light is out so I don't think that is the problem.
After a while the engine starts.
It may be a faulty relay contact, a bad connection or the starter solenoid but that seems impossible to get at without removing the exhaust pipe and possibly the exhaust manifold as well.
Has anyone had experience of this ?
