Just fitted an interior lighting led upgrade kit from PowerfulUK to my 2013 FL2. The front curtesy light first. I noted their comments about blowing fuses, but didn't want to take the glovebox out (according to Haynes), to get at the 10 amp fuse 57... getting a grip on the festoon lamp with my needle nose pliers got a little arc. Carried on and fitted the new lamps all round., Boot light and passenger curtesy light work, but the front curtesy only comes on when ignition is turned on. Cannot switch it on manually. Can switch it off ok. No joy with Sun visor lights or footwell lights. What have I done? Fuse 57 appears to be for interior lights... and appears ok. Can't find reference to any interior lighting fuses so are you able to help please?
Regards,

David

Difficult to say what has happened. But in my experience the battery should be disconnected before working with MOSFET based lighting controls like the Freelander 2 has. The slightest touch to anything of a reverse polarity will often cause a MOSFET to fail, requiring the CJB be repaired or replaced.
IMO there's nothing wrong with the FL2 interior lighting anyway, so I'll not be messing with mine, particularly as there's a risk to the MOSFETs
