hi guys converted my l322 to led interior lamps a couple of years ago, but i keep getting lamps failing or just flashing when they come on, i think this is down to the lamp dimming as they go off damaging the lamps.

any recommendations for some decent LEDS that won't fail after a few months? failing that i'm thinking about standard xenon lamps.

Hi All,

After fitting LED ice white front lamps was also thinking of up grading interior lighting to LED's and had the same concern over compatibility to the wiring system. My son is keen to go green on all the interior lamps so instantly thought LED but now looking for standard lamps, in green of course.

Anyone got positive experience on LED lamps they can share before I go to the shops?

Tricky.

I got a load of interior ones for my p38, all with resisters fitted to them. They've been in over a month or two with no problems so far!
have you seen how many there are!! Costs a small fortune even in the puddle lamps. Looks ace..

Many thanks for the comments above. Resistors are the key it seems.

I think I'll get my son to buy them one a week as it was his idea to up-grade.

Tricky.

get him on eBay tricky,he can get ten at a time for under a tenner. China of course...
just be sure to measure the bulb lengths.
I put some in the passenger vanity mirror.. It's that bright you cant see yourself.. I pizz myself laughing at the better half going mental because it zaps her eye's. Small pleasures'! Ay,ay!

complete kits are available for £30 i might bite the bullet and order some, but i will most likely ask the question first about the compatibility i seem to have to replace one or 2 every 2 or 3 months, which does work out a bit expensive

depends on the size of the long ones...cant remember the name of them.
39mm
36mm or 31mm.
or even the wedge type. W5w's?
ive got the w5w's as front side lights. Been in there for months with no problems. Depends on the quality..
all have resisters' in them.
