Hi ive bought a full size universal intercooler nice easy fit what would be a safe boost pressure i can set it at in psi. Anyone ever fitted a uni intercooler? Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks rob

Ive been reading and talking to friends apparantly the intercooler ive bought is too big i will suffer with turbo lag dont no wheter its worth fitting and turning the turbo up to get the pressure or will i blow the turbo.

Fitted a 600x300x75 Intercooler to my 300tdi never had a problem with turbo lag and left standard boost

That would be max wouldn't it? not cursing at a set/consistent speed. Mine only does 10-12 at 70-75mph but foot to floor and goes way over 20psi

The intercooler i have is 600x300x75 i bought it off ebay brand new. But the overall measurement of the intercooler is bigger then the gap between the wings. So would have to mod somethink. Is there anyway of temporary testing it. Also the pipe core size is 3 inch so would have to reduce to standard size. Cheers for your replys.

Dizzy tim ive just took mine to my pal whos a welder £50 to have the 2 inch ones on the front and 3 inch blanked off be ready tmz

Good price that, if I had a A/C tig I would have done it myself, only can weld steel with the kit I've got, put some piccys up when you've done :)
